Dreame V9 Cordless Vacuum

The number one tool to combat cat hair is a good vacuum. With two cats, I use my vacuum Every. Single. Day. I only use cordless stick vacuums as they are quick and convenient and easy to store.

Dyson is the only vacuum I have ever purchased. I am on my third Dyson now as I have been a long-time fan. Overall their vacuums work super efficiently. I only have two complaints: 1. High pice tag and 2. The awful colors. Why does such a well-designed vacuum have to be such ugly colors? Hot florencent purple, blue, orange. I just don’t understand Dyson’s thought process.

So when I saw this cordless stick vacuum from Dreame with a low price, beautiful simple design and colors and read it claims to be on par or higher performance than Dyson. I thought it was too good to be true.

I won this Dreame V9 on on an Instagram giveaway. I checked out their website I found this:

It is rare to see a technology company to take such a public stance about veganism. I have explained before how my cats actually helped me live a more vegan lifestyle.

When I unboxed this vacuum it was striking how similar it is to the Dyson. From the packaging, to the design, to the accessories, it is very similar.

1st impression differences

• When you pull the trigger to start it it takes an extra second to start and get to full power. It is just a second but it is the first thing you notice that is different from the Dyson
• It glides much smoother and easier than the Dyson. It feels like it just glides more smoothly from one surface to another. It just feels smoother and nicer to use.
• All the attachments are very similar to the Dyson and function in the same way.
• Uses a HEPA filter that is washable
• I do not notice a difference in suction power compared to my V10, but it is a little quieter than my Dyson V10

Quality

As both are made of mostly plastic. I can not feel nor see a difference in the quality.

60 minute suction time on the lowest speed. 9 minutes suction time on the highest speed.

Overall

I am beyond impressed with this vacuum. It does the job well and is very user-friendly. I only have hardwood floors and tile so I can’t say how it works on carpet. But I love the upholstery tool which I use on my sofa and cushions. All the accessory tools are well-designed and work perfectly for any need. Honestly, it makes me feel silly for paying so much for a Dyson Because I have cats and vacuum almost daily, my Dyson usually last me about 3-4 years before they break. I have only had it for about two months now so time will tell. But so far, for the low price and high performance, beautiful design, I am super impressed.

This V9 is not the latest model, there are several new models which claim even higher preformance.
