Complete Probiotics for Cats

We all know that the most common health problems in cats fall under the umbrella term of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

This is not a single disease, instead it’s a variety of gastrointestinal disorders that have symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss,  lethargy and the cat’s appetite can range from ravenous to anorexic. The common cause of this is considered to be “idiopathic” or “unknown.”

Current theories suggest that these cases of IBD may be due to a breakdown in the relationship between the normal bacteria that reside in the gastrointestinal tract and the immune system of the gastrointestinal wall.

I purchased mine from iHerb. I buy all of my supplements for making raw food from iherb because of their wide selection of high quality products, low prices, and cheap international shipping.

I’ve been using it for a month now using the recommended maintenance dosage once a day. I sprinkle it on their food and the cats don’t seem to notice. I don’t bother mixing it in as they don’t seem to care. They haven’t had any issues or any side effects. I feed a large variety of foods to help keep their digestive track strong and I feel like this is only helping that.

Complete Probiotics for pets

I emailed the company directly to ask a few questions.

Why doesn’t this need to be refridgeratored after opened?

Dr. Becker’s Probiotic’s for pets are freeze-dried. This is the reasons they wouldn’t need to be refrigerated. The strains are activated within in the pet’s body from the body, temperature and the turning of the pet’s stomach.

What kind of food can this be used with?

The Probiotics for pets are designed to work with kibble and a wet or raw cat food. Some customer who have picky pets do mix the Probiotic into a bone broth to give to the pet as well. Dr. Becker has not provided any specific instructions for when using the Probiotic’s in a raw diet. The product can be used the same way in any diet.

Can this be used long-term?

The Probiotic’s maintenance dose can be used daily long-term.  Dr. Becker recommends the Probiotics for all pets as it does provide immune support, system health as well as overall gut health. We hope that this is helpful. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns.

Alert alert alert ! Eucalyptus oil is toxic to cats !!! I’m sure I’m in the wrong place but I have no idea how to comment on your blog. Actually this is my first time pretty much commenting on a Blog. I just want to start out by saying I love cats! Quite obvious all you all do too. I just have a comment about the essential oils please read the list over!!! because the list states eucalyptus is toxic to cats and in your posts you tell people that it’s safe for cats. It’s not. I just want you to be aware of that. No one even noticed it. It’s at the bottom of the first row. Anyway are cats are way too important. I was diffusing clove oil, didn’t even know what was happening till last night. I read about the toxic essential oils. I was floored. I’ve been having cats all my life I’m 50 years old. The last thing I want to do is poison one of my babies. Well I almost did. Thank God I was able to nurse him back to health but now I know what made him sick. It was the clove oil. They call them the heavy oils. Very dangerous very very dangerous, their liver lacks an enzyme to break down these oils. I still have some flea medicine that’s made from clove oil, supposed to be all natural sold at fine pet retailers. Anyway I didn’t come here to be a troll I just came here to let y’all know that eucalyptus is toxic.

They are ubiquitous and symbiotic throughout the gastrointestinal system, where they have an important and protective role. Mostly probiotic supplements contain multiple strains of bacteria! According to research, most prominent effect of probiotics on host metabolism from human studies are reported basically for Lactobacillus and/or Bifidobacterium(NCBI )   Which strain of bacterium does PROBIOSLIM use? ProbioSlim contains one of the most resilient and efficacious strains of probiotics, offering a premium blend of LactoSpore. LactoSpore® is a commercial probiotic preparation containing L(+) lactic acid producing microbial preparation from Bacillus coagulans. Benefits, linked with lactospores: Lactospores do help to regulate gastrointestinal balance, by inhibiting pathogens and encourage good bacteria to thrive.
