Over a year ago, I purchased the Igloo litter box from Pidan Studios in white for my kitchen. I can not say enough positive things about this litter box. It is beautiful, well designed, high quality and large enough so my cats like it.
I had been on the hunt for a litter box for the balcony for ages. My balcony is not covered, so it is exposed to rain and snow and yes, all 4 seasons. I previously had a DIY litter box. But I wanted to get something that didn’t take up so much space and was more compact. It is difficult to find litter boxes that are suitable to put outside that can withstand the rain. If any rain gets inside the litter box, the litter will be completely wasted and unusable.
So I decided to buy a second Igloo from Pidan Studios. At first I was hesitate to put such an expensive litter box outside. But It has now been outside for a full summer, winter and now spring and it’s in perfect condition. Even with heavy wind and rain, I have had zero issues with rain getting inside. I put the opening towards the interior wall of the balcony, so there is less chance for windy rain to get inside. Mine is in full southern sun and I haven’t noticed any color fading. Because of the overhang and shape of the opening, it keeps out rain very well.
In my previous post I shared how I removed the inner step of this litter box, I did the same for this green box and I would highly recommend it. It makes the box much spacious for your cats. I have the white and green, but I adore this light purple/greyish color.
